USA (CA) Pasadena JPLC Jet Propulsion Laboratory CalTech

USA (CA) Pasadena JPLC Jet Propulsion Laboratory CalTech JPL-managed spacecraft have gone to every planet in the solar system. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a leading NASA center for robotic exploration, also studies comets, asteroids, stars, galaxies and, much closer to home, Earth.
JPL is a NASA center staffed and managed for the government by a leading private university, Caltech -- and thus we are known as a federally funded research and development center. I believe that this marriage of the government and university worlds lends us a wonderful intellectual infusion to drive our exploration efforts. Caltech anchors us in the world of excellence and academic curiosity, while NASA gives us the opportunity to reach for the stars.

USA (CA) La Verne - University of La Verne - Located in Southern California

USA (CA) La Verne - University of La Verne - Located in Southern California The university can trace its beginning to 1891 when members of the Church of the Brethren, moving west to California, founded Lordsburg College. When the surrounding agricultural community of Lordsburg was renamed to La Verne in 1917, the institution followed suit and La Verne College was established. Recognized as an outstanding provider of teacher education, the college saw its campus, curriculum and student body grow to meet the expanding higher educational needs of the region. While in time the Board of Trustees became independent of church control, the college never lost its commitment to service or its dedication to sound, people-centered, values-oriented education. Accredited by the Western College Association in 1955, the college continued to expand, awarding its first master's degree in 1965 and conferring its first doctorate in 1979.

USA (CA) Hollywood UOFH University of Hollywood - The University of entertainment

USA (CA) Hollywood UOFH University of Hollywood - The University of entertainment

Traditional universities are slow to adjust their curricula. They often fail to either encourage or disseminate leading-edge thought. The founders of the UofH intend it to be a forum for taking thought one step forward.
The founders also recognize that nothing is more entertaining than learning for its own sake. Thus the university looks at learning through the lens of entertainment. The more fun, the more references to the entertaining arts the merrier!
The UofH is not intended to be a "bricks and mortar" institution, to be fixed in one location. In effect, the u.of.h. would not exist without internet.
The UofH has only professors - no students. All discourse is meant to be among peers. The university gives no diplomas. It will give honors and awards.
